VIDEO/FREE DOWNLOAD: Sev Seveer - SLIDE TO THE EMPIRE [BOAN-007]

sev-single-.png

While Sev Seveer was touring Shelfie Baps II (BOAN-006) on the West Coast last summer, we spent some time in Ken Barrientos' 'The Breath' studio in Pomona. Sev cooked up this beat from a stack of records we provided. Along the way we stopped by Beat Cinema with more Chicago fam and Serious Cartoons Records and Tapes for an in-store. Mike B. grabbed some footage along the way and we're just really happy to share it with you! Grab the records before they're gone.

Dilla do Carnaval with Coleman and Marlon Fuentes | Beats of All-Nations Radio 044 Live at Dublab

B31D2E29-373C-477B-B7E6-BF091EBF365B.JPG

Marlon Fuentes is the World Music Manager at the Recording Academy (Grammy’s) and shares an arsenal of African and other world sounds breaking ground.

Eric Coleman is a renown director, photographer and DJ, known for his groundbreaking work with B+ at Mochilla, and works that include photography for the Madvillain album cover and some of the last photos of the late J Dilla.

Every year we highlight international sounds at carnaval time which lines up with Dilla’s anniversary and Black history month usually with an event or radio show. Considering Jay Dee was the first to sample Brazilian music in hip hop with Pharcyde’s "Runnin’," it all makes sense.

Mike Styles intros and hosts the show recorded live at dublab.com. Tune in live every 2nd Wednesday from 10pm-Midnight PST.

boan-radio-gypsy.png

We're excited to announce that we will begin recording Beats of All-Nations Radio live once a month from Dublab. Tune in to dublab.com every 2nd Wednesday from 10pm-12am, beginning in February 2020 for the next phase of our show already in progress. :)

Outspoken producer Gypsy Mamba is a longtime friend of Beats of All-Nations, since his early days at Beat Cinema. We only begin to scratch the surface with a feature original beat set and interview via our guest spot this month on Dublab. Gypsy Mamba's sonically masterful album REJECT just dropped a month ago on SXN, he also has past releases on SMOG and Alpha Pup, but he's promised fans to independently drop an Ep every month in 2020.

Mike Styles begins the show with an eclectic set of jazz, world and beats. Subira ends the show with with more soul.
