We recently had an opportunity to curate a beach date with the help of our friends Sweet Beats DJ truck and Living Room Sessions for a live recording at Santa Monica Beach. We were joined by producers SumoHair & Co. Fee with supporting DJ sets by Mendzter of Living Room Sessions, Mike Styles & Subira. Big shout out to Kiyomi & Ry Toast of Sweet Beats for providing the incredible soundsystem on wheels and photos featured here, as well as AJ (LRS) for recording video & audio of the sets. Enjoy!

Episode 031 features Adrian Plus joins us with a seamless steamy mix that ranges from sweet summer soul to modern electronic boogie with a solid dose of hip hop and everything that influences him in between.
We open the show with another highly requested, feel good reggae 45 set by DJ Gabe Real, playing the not so obvious or easy to find chunes. We take a trip down memory lane and he discusses his work as an engineer on Afta-1’s “FORM” LP as one of the first projects that came out of Music Culture Freedom Studio as it plays behind the discussion. Subira wraps the show with an eclectic mix of hip hop and Mike Styles hangs out for the conversation.
Catch Adrian Plus every Second Saturday at Homage Brewing for “Arts and Drafts” at the Pomona Artwalk.

On our “dirty” thirty episode we flip over some dusty crates and enjoy some psychedelic snax with the ‘Lord’s Player’ Hymnal & Mixmaster Wolf of Psychedelic Stax on an all vinyl episode of Beats of All-Nations Radio.
Hymnal is an unsung hero in Los Angeles Hip Hop, having ‘been there’ when everything important was ever going on in the LA Underground, he is known for his contributions as feature emcee on Cut Chemist’s solo records, his history with the group Dark Leaf and his involvement as a member of Psychedelic Stax radio program on Dublab. Mixmaster Wolf is another member Psychedelic Stax & Dark Leaf, front man for LA funk legends, BREAKESTRA, and rotates records on the reg at FUNKY SOLE.
Mike Styles kicks off the show with a mix of trippy jazz and soul from around the globe and we close with artist/designer Falcn 23, making his BOAN Radio debut playing further selections into the mellow psych realm.

This heatwave is too hot to handle so we have a slow burning psychedelic mix featuring moments of Cut Chemist’s Tipper and Friends Solar Eclipse set from 2017. We also talk a little bit about the new album Die Cut.
Residents breathe life into the podcast after a short hiatus, for the first session of Summer Eighteen. On episode 29 we get into some G.O.O.D. summer joints and source records with Mike Styles followed by a Caribbean vacation set from Subira. We had some discussions, about “what’s going on, what could be done and what should be done.” Then we all get schooled by the professor, Gabe Real with a jukebox of genres that somehow always make sense. We’re back for Summer. Love is Love, Stay cool y’all.
