We recently had an opportunity to curate a beach date with the help of our friends Sweet Beats DJ truck and Living Room Sessions for a live recording at Santa Monica Beach. We were joined by producers SumoHair & Co. Fee with supporting DJ sets by Mendzter of Living Room Sessions, Mike Styles & Subira. Big shout out to Kiyomi & Ry Toast of Sweet Beats for providing the incredible soundsystem on wheels and photos featured here, as well as AJ (LRS) for recording video & audio of the sets. Enjoy!

Episode 031 features Adrian Plus joins us with a seamless steamy mix that ranges from sweet summer soul to modern electronic boogie with a solid dose of hip hop and everything that influences him in between.
We open the show with another highly requested, feel good reggae 45 set by DJ Gabe Real, playing the not so obvious or easy to find chunes. We take a trip down memory lane and he discusses his work as an engineer on Afta-1’s “FORM” LP as one of the first projects that came out of Music Culture Freedom Studio as it plays behind the discussion. Subira wraps the show with an eclectic mix of hip hop and Mike Styles hangs out for the conversation.
Catch Adrian Plus every Second Saturday at Homage Brewing for “Arts and Drafts” at the Pomona Artwalk.
Rock Steady Queen Aretha.

Mike Styles kicks off the show, Porchlite returns with an eclectic electronic soul & beat set, JB plays ode to Black History and Gabe Real brings down the house with some of that Golden Era Hip Hop on vinyl, flipping doubles throughout. It didn’t happen if you don’t stay til the end. Thanks for checking us and subscribe on your iPhone using the Podcast App.

Getting 2018 off to a great start at A Stable Sound. Cut Chemist and legendary Hip Hop photographer/director/cultural enthusiast, B+ get way deep in LA music history and his explorations of music around the world. Much of which is captured in his recent photo book, GHOST NOTES: Music of the Unplayed. Recorded Live at Dublab.
Making good on our promise, Gabe Real, Mike Styles, Subira and JB, better known as the Re:Fresh Pomona Crew comes together for a very special edition of Beats of All-Nations Radio in light of New Years Eve 2018. We discuss the hits and misses of 2017, predictions for the next year, a bit of our history in the community but most importantly we offer you something to move to. Enjoy this 2 hour party for the world. Happy New Year! Cover Art: Blind Herd

Producer Max I Million (https://soundcloud.com/max-i-million) has put together an amazing conceptual mix transmitting live and worldwide from Stockholm, Sweden to Pomona, CA. He’s done official remix work for the likes of CL Smooth, Edo G, Planet Asia, Kev Brown, and Masta Ace. “I also worked with Promoe from Looptroop Rockers and ADL, who are about as close you can get to Swedish Hip Hop legends.” Max’s last release was on an instrumental cassette called Beats, Mines & Life, where he shares space with Ayatollah, Khrysis, M-Phazes and Nottz. Look out for his latest drop with Chuck D, Bishop Lamont and Mykill Miers on Counterweight Records. His right hand man Chapee intros the mix on a track the two previously collaborated on. “He’s a real master of ceremony, and I’m usually that cat in the background who speak with my music.”
Mike Styles opens the show with a short mix featuring new music from Makaya McCraven, Co. Fee, Sumohair and SUPERSAN. Gabe Real seals the deal with a dj buffet and a blast from the past when he reunites with a scratch record he pressed and released in the early 2000s.
