This mix is a collection of old rap instrumentals that never quite made it out of the lab, made between 2007-2013. This stuff is mostly a reflection of my early forms (but those forms will always be present!), and to show that I’ve always, from the beginning, tried to keep a solid range of beat proficiency, “Styles Upon Styles” as we say. I’ve avoided trying to box myself, and made sure to maintain my scholarship as a student of beatmaking
Most of these beats were created in software via midi controllers and in-DAW audio chopping from when I first started working in Cubase in 2007; however, there are some very early SP 404/202 beats in here as well.
My next EP, Smithereens, is a journey in using beats to sonically interpret neo-impressionism, specifically Pointillism. The first single, “Seuratcha Sauce”, will be out via Beats of All-Nations in June.

We’ve been following the body of work that Cazal Organism has been putting out over the last couple of years, catching up on previous releases by Delicious Vinyl and multiple artist releases on his own label Ultra Slump Records. At the fresh age of 19, Cuba Reyes has already staked some pretty solid real estate in the City of Beats. Back when Cazal was only an Organism his father, Mellow Man Ace and uncle Sen Dog (Cypress Hill) had already made some advances for the Latino Hip Hop community, especially on the Westside. He grew up in the studio, with memories that include De La Soul getting loose in the booth. Cazal is like a liaison between two hip hop generations, creating sounds for Sadat X, Masta Ace and Cassey Veggies. And it doesn’t stop with the beats, in 2015 Cazal released his first solo rap On My Grown Shit.
In between all of the releases, remixes and running a label thats begginging to steam, Cazal took the time to put together a great collection of songs he has produced, rearranged or otherwise has just been inspired by. He also gives us a little more “about me” nuggets in the mix and in the interview below.
Beats of All-Nations Radio Episode 016: Cazal Organism
“With this mix, I wanted to bring together some of the stuff I’ve been working on and the things I’ve been listening to. I think bridging the gap between what makes us want to work and how it transpires into what we do now is important, it helps listeners understand more of where we’re coming from when we drop our material.”

How we’d love to be in the room for the one. The spirit of Beats of All-Nations surrounds our family in Chicago. This is a must for our people in the region! Fire line up on an all around dope concept. Radius, Sev Seveer and Makaya McCraven all have released some fresh selections on our latest release Seasons Change. Shout out Uncle El and the rest of this line up!
Live PA/electronic production based event originally created by Moment Sound(Garo, Lokua, Slava) in the early-mid 2000s. The events took place around Chicago at various venues, including(but not limited to); The Darkroom & Funky Buddha lounge. Many guests rocked alongside them over the years and credit the events as being potent for their overall growth.
ETC Records (Ear To Chicago) label head; Radius pays respects to one of the key rotating events essential to his artistry at Door No. 3 aka Double Door bassment.
On Monday August 17th Beats of All-Nations will launch Seasons Change, a 13-track feature compilation of beats and compositions that will be available to listeners for free. On this collection we are revisited by artists whom we’ve worked with in the past, and several of which making their Beats of All-Nations debut. Following the success of his album In the Moment, Makaya McCraven, a pioneer in the new jazz era offers the live-drum heavy “Midman.” Bombay Da Realest, producer of Blu’s Good to Be Home album, hits hard with the funk inspired “Dig This”. Sev Seveer, the highly creative abstract hip hop manufacturer of our first official release, Constant Elevation: Odessa Star, returns with vocalist Megiapa on the vibed out “C.S.G.” International sounds however are not forgotten by Co. Fee on the Brazilian inspired “White Sands.” The compilation comes complete with exclusive artwork designed by Deladeso.
Beats of All-Nations, founded by Mike Styles in 2009, did not set out to be a label, nor have we conformed to that title. We are a community of artists, producers, deejays music and culture enthusiasts. Our operation is small, though we are represented by many with a goal to continuously raise the bar while keeping the art diverse and the vibes just right. We feature artists you may already love, but especially those you may have never heard before. Along the way, we have given independent artists a voice and an open space to create while introducing them to new audiences. Beats of All-Nations’ very own Porchlite gets busy on the smoothed out “Where are the Roses.” French producer 7even Sun, of our second release Escapologies and our veteran engineer Choco also supply some enlightening rhythms to the project. Other contributors include wave Groove and DJ Erok of Void Shift, Radius (Etc. Records) and Repeated Measures (New Los Angeles/Beat Cinema). The comp opens with music by Aux Voyager and closes with a colossal tune by Sleep to Static two veteran producers from our community. Seasons Change will be available for free download on August 17th, 2015 exclusively on www.beatsofallnations.com.

Its the final stretch. Help Radius & ETC Records make their first official full length vinyl release, Time Travel is Real (A Prelude to Japan…).
Chicago born producer Radius ETC, has been very active creating and performing his unique style of beats since 2001. He is the co-founder of two Chicago based groups; LAGOS (w/ Leo 123) and Beyond Luck (w/ Dj Moppy). Since 2008, Radius has pursued his craft and vision within various DIY communities in places like LA, Seattle, the Bay Area, NY, Hawaii, Japan and the of course the windy city.
Working independently most of Radius’ work has been limited to digital release and cd burns. Time Travel is Real (A Prelude to Japan…) had a now sold out, limited cassette release on I Had an Accident Records. A full-length vinyl release has always been a goal for Radius. Touring throughout the U.S. and recently abroad has shown that supporters share this exact sentiment.
The opportunity is now here, Time Travel Is Real (A Prelude to Japan…) on wax!
“I hope that it serves as an inspiration to all those that listen. Supreme full circle energy reflection is the key. Stay strong & keep creating and pushing YOUR dreams to REALITY. Thanks for your support. Much respect. Enjoy and see you soon.” -Radius
There are some nice perks attached to donations that will make this project a reality. The goal is now at arms reach, with over 90% of funding complete. With only a bit over a week left, we encourage you to get behind a talented artist who is putting every ounce of energy and efforts into his craft.
Time Travel is Real (A Prelude to Japan…) is inspired by and recorded in Chicago and Hawaii just prior to a visit to Japan on the music tip, last fall. The album was well received with recognition and airplay from the likes of Mathieu Schreyer (KCRW), LeFtO (Brownswood/Bluenote), Kev Beadle (Mind Fluid/London).
