What The Festival 2015 — First Lineup Announcement

The Pacific Northwest is at it again with its now staple boutique electronic music and interactive arts festival – What The Festival. All taking place June 19-22 in Dufur, Oregon at Wolf Run Ranch. The festival has announced its first round of stellar artists who will be performing, check it out below. And if this is only phase one, phase two will purely be bonus rounds!


The organizers also running a DJ contest and will give the lucky winner an opportunity open the entire festival at the Splash Pool Stage. Click here for more details. Contest deadline is March 12 so make sure to get those submissions in!

The line up is heavy with a bunch of Inland Empire / (909/951) natives, including Beats of All-Nations’ own Mike Styles as well as members from Re:Fresh, Beat Cinema, More Fire Mondays, My Hollow Drum and more. What’s good 2014!

New year, new music, new energy. The ten tracks I’m sharing this month are particularly groove heavy. I’m not sure how that happened, it just did. I point that out because heavy grooves channel energy very well. For me, dirty or bottom heavy drums usually create that groove, but the cadence in the lyrics or melodies will do that as well. They keep the energy moving forward and I can say these tracks helped me cruise right on through the busy holiday season and into the new year without skipping a beat. And I’m always thankful for music that has that effect on me. So here you go…Enjoy the music and make sure to show the musicians and artists some love!
