Continuing in the theme of cultural celebration, I’d like to share another better late than never post. As many of you know, in March we celebrated Carnival in Downtowm Pomona at the dba256 at Re:Fresh and this time we brought some friends along. Guest selecting for the night was El Dopa (Music Makes the Difference) dishing up party vibes from around the globe and strictly on wax…His vinyl weighs a ton. Along side El Dopa, and upon first meeting, was Bobby and Morgan on assorted percussion representing LA summer series, Bodega. Sprinkle in our friends Jennifer and Loriann of Samba, Samba (shout out to Jeane July) and Carnival, was official in downtown Pomona. Just like Cariocas would have wanted, the party appropriately was taken to the streets as seen in the above video. Topping off the night was the power selection of the Re:Fresh crew, and inluded Pomona’s own Bess Kepp who jumped in on a special performance with JB. To say the least this was an epic Re:Fresh and as we move forward we are excited to bring more memorable moments to you at each and every Re:Fresh in the future. Thanks to everyone who took part in making this particular event happened. As always Re:Fresh is powered by the deejays who play there. Major thanks to Sam Garcia who took some great photos, enjoy more memories from the party below.
