Vinyl Relay circa 2007

I Remeber When...

This is one is something really special.  It’s Otis Redding wailing over an Edan instrumental.  It’s “What’s Going On?” over “She Lives in My Lap.”  It is an hour long mix that CellOne1and I recorded in the summer of 2007.  The format is 2×4 style with different songs coming in at a fairly quick pace, thus the name of the group, Vinyl Relay.  The focus was paying homage to some of the artists and songs that we love most, making sense of different genres and how it all connects in the infinite web of sound.  We only did a run of one hundred of these and once they were gone they were gone, but the mix is more of a composition and we don’t want it to go unsung without giving it the justice of just being heard on a much larger platform.  The file here is one-track, some might find it annoying we find it essential in order to fully absorb the session for what it is.  DOWNLOAD HERE:  Vinyl Relay – “I Remember When…”
